Dying Light 2: Techland promises “exciting news”

Geralt of Sanctuary January 11, 2021 No Comments

The zombie survival sequel Dying Light 2 has been quiet for a long time, but that should change soon, as Techland promises.

The Techland development studio has now spoken out and promised that “exciting news” about the game are on the way. Fresh in formation about Dying Light 2 should be available “soon”, without Techland having named a more specific date.

The last time Dying Light 2 made a name for itself on the internet was when narrative designer Pewel Selinger left the development studio. This was noteworthy in that he worked at Techland for 22 years and was also involved in the survival sequel.

The development of Dying Light 2 should not influence this any further because Selinger’s position has already been filled internally. In a statement it says: “Pawel Selinger, who worked as a narration designer for the past two years, decided at the end of 2020 to end a collaboration with Techland in order to pursue his further career elsewhere. Pawel has most of his time He has spent his working life at Techland and – among others – has contributed significantly to the success of the Call of Juarez series. Most recently, he has contributed a lot to Dying Light 2 as he has been with the project from the beginning. His tasks were taken over by Piotr Szymanek in October 2020. “

Dying Light 2 was supposed to be released in spring 2020, but Techland communicated the necessary postponement about a year ago. Since then it has become quiet again about the ambitious successor.

Ambitious also because Dying Light 2 is supposed to be around four times as big as the former original. The campaign should occupy you 15 to 20 hours, but if you want to manage all the side missions, you will have to complete over 100 hours of gameplay. In addition, the decisions you make in the course of the game have an impact on the game world and change it.
