Eivor male or female, both are canon in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will feature a gigantic map

With Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Ubisoft decided to turn the tables by making Kassandra the most relevant protagonist for the installment. The French company already looks at the new generation with Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, the rumored Viking game that has already been made official and that aims at the end of the year for the current and the next-gen. A new installment that we will soon see in motion, and in which it will not matter to choose male or female protagonist. Why? Why both will be canon.

How will they do it? That is a surprise that the team is kept until we can play it. Darby McDevitt, narrative director of this new installment, has been the one who has explained that the Eivor man and the Eivor woman will be equally valid for the development of the history of this installment and, also, of the saga in general. "Both options are canon"

, he explains in a reply via Twitter, "but we are not going to anticipate how we have managed the trick to make this possible until you play the game ». He leaves it there, in the air, for users to imagine until they can verify it.

Both choices are canon, but we're not going to spoil how we managed that trick until you play the game. 😎

A step with which they differ from the previous installment, despite offering the same option to choose the gender of the main character. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla aspires to be much bigger than all previous games, as well as to take advantage of the benefits of new generation consoles. But the question of how two such different options have managed to make canonical sounds very interesting. Perhaps that is why they have chosen the name Eivor.

We will be able to see more of the game soon, although its launch is not expected until the end of the year, probably with the new generation already in stores.

Valhalla, one of the confirmed for the Inside Xbox of the Summer Game Fest

Microsoft is going to be very present at the Summer Game Fest that replaces E3 this 2020. The company has a lot to do with Xbox Series X, and the first chapter of this story will be written next time. Thursday, May 7 with an Inside Xbox. It will be in this presentation that we can see Real gameplay of the new Assassin’s Creed Viking on Xbox Series X

, after having seen a spectacular cinematic trailer to whet your appetite.

But the Assassins will not be the only ones present in this presentation. As predicted, there will be more third party games in this Microsoft teaser of next-gen games, many of them likely intergenerational. It is going to be an interesting week for AC fans and for players in general, and everything indicates that it will be the starting gun to a whole streak of events and celebrations to discover everything that is to come to the video game sector.
