Electronic Arts recently presented its financial report for the past few months, confirming that Jedi Star Wars: Fallen Order had reached very good figures and gave us some hope as to more titles for single player by EA. On the other hand, the company has also confirmed that has obtained more than 1 billion dollars through microtransactions in the last quarter of 2019
As they count from Gamingbolt, EA obtained in the last quarter of 2019 (from October to December) the scandalous figure of 993 million dollars of profit only from the microtransactions. The big fault of this figure is surely FIFA 20, which with its Ultimate Team It results in one of the games that produces more revenue of that type.
In total, throughout 2019, Electronic Arts has won 2.835 million dollars thanks to these microtransactions, 27% more than in all of 2018 surely favored by the launch of two games like Anthem and Apex Legends, which have used that kind of in-game purchases.
Electronic Arts plans to launch 14 games between April 2020 and March 2021, among which there are multiple titles yet to be announced and far from the sports sector that gives EA so many joys.
