Starting today, the new SPORT1 Super League will see current and former soccer stars compete against each other on the virtual pitch and show their skills in the eSports title FIFA 20 on PlayStation. The first group games can be seen today at 5:00 p.m. in the free livestream on SPORT1.de as well as on YouTube and Facebook.
Next Thursday, April 9th, the SPORT1 Super League will get the big free TV stage: SPORT1 shows the decision in the group phase, the two semi-finals and the grand finale live from 5:00 p.m.
A total of nine players use the controller, including Vincenzo Grifo (SC Freiburg), Kaan Ayhan (Fortuna Düsseldorf) and Lennart Czyborra (Atalanta Bergamo, in the youth including FC Schalke 04, Energie Cottbus, Hertha BSC and Union Berlin) as well as the former German national team Patrick Helmes (including 1. FC Köln, VfL Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen) and Patrick Owomoyela (including Borussia Dortmund, Werder Bremen and Arminia Bielefeld).
