Frontier Developments' latest financial report mentions that the developer studio has secured the exclusive license to develop a real-time strategy game based on Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. Warhammer: Age of Sigmar was introduced in 2015 as a replacement for Warhammer Fantasy and is now becoming popular after initial opposition.
Frontier plans to work closely with Games Workshop on development. The result should be an extensive and immersive start game, but it also has the necessary accessibility.
The new game is to be developed for PC and consoles and will be released in the developer's fiscal year 2023, i.e. until May 31, 2023.
Frontier Developments is currently working on other projects, including a previously unannounced multiplatform game and a Formula 1 management game.
