Game news Genshin Impact is said to be boycotted on Twitter
Today the hashtag #boycottGenshin caught on on Twitter by settling in the top 4 trends in France. Under this banner, players are calling for the game to be stopped for reasons that mix racism, sexualization and security.
Genshin Impact, the first Chinese game to be so successful in the West, is once again hit by critics. After miHoyo Limited was accused of censorship last October, it is charged with racism and hypersexualization, among other things. It’s a hashtag, titled #boycottGenshin, collected by the complaints, which has mobilized more than 49,000 tweets and, at the time of this writing, has settled in the top trends in France.
