Hair physics has always been a headache in game animation in recent years. Already in the past generational change of consoles a great step was promised with TressFX technology in games like Tomb Raider, but in the end its implementation has turned out to be almost anecdotal because of the amount of resources that these technologies consume
Jonathan Cooper, a renowned animator who left Naughty Dog a few months ago, shares in a Twitter post his desire to see new hair physics technologies applied in games, instead of talking so much about Ray Tracing.
