Is virtual reality finally becoming socially acceptable? A big title like Half-Life: Alyx could now take care of it, after all, the men from Valve not only promise a slimmed-down VR copy, but a full-fledged new part of the shooter series, which should be fully convincing in terms of quality and scope.
Expectations are high, as can already be seen in the community, which has hit Valve's VR headset index much more frequently since the game was announced. So far it was still unclear when exactly the game will actually be available.

In the past, Valve had always stressed that a release should take place in March 2020, but initially did not provide a more specific statement. That has now changed, because the announcement of the specific release date was made via Twitter. Means: pull out the calendar and, if you are interested, paint March 23, 2020 in red. From this day you will be able to play the shooter hope in the VR area via Steam. Logically, pre-orders are still possible and are currently rewarded with a 10 percent discount on the regular retail price.

Half-Life: Alyx is supposed to take on roughly the same scope as the shooter classic Half-Life 2. The story is located between the first and second main part of the series and is about Alyx Vance and her father Eli. In the person of Alyx you have to fight battles, solve puzzles and explore the world besieged by aliens in an unprecedented way.
