In the wake of the E3 announcement of the Halo Infinite multiplayer, developer 343 Industries has made further details public. There should be a technology test phase in the summer, and a well-known game mode is also returning.
This year Halo Infinite will finally be available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S – no wonder that more and more information is gradually becoming available. 343 Industries also commented again on the recently introduced free-to-play multiplayer and confirmed that a well-known game mode will return.
We’re talking about the Big Team Battle. This mode was first represented in Halo 2 and is making its comeback in Halo Infinite – in an optimized and improved form. Compared to the last appearance of the mode in Halo 5, when 16 players were able to plunge into the PvP action, the number of players has been increased to 24 in the latest part. Each of 12 players compete against each other in two teams, equipped with all weapons and skills that there will be in Halo Infinite. As the makers further explain, you will also be able to use vehicles on the maps that have been adapted to the size or request support from the air.
All in all, the core focus of the Halo Infinite multiplayer will still be on the smaller arena battles in which 4v4 is played. In this respect, it is the most traditional mode of the game, even if Big Team Battle also has many fans in the community.
Elsewhere it was announced that the first players will be able to put their hands on the new title during the summer. A technology test is planned in which selected players can take part. The exact date for this test phase is currently as unclear as the specific content. At a later point in time you will get in touch via Halo Waypoint
And: In the future, Halo Infinite will also be divided into seasons, each with its own theme. The first season after the release is based on Halo: Reach. The unlockable goodies and items in the first Battle Pass will be designed accordingly. The name of Season 1 will be “Heroes of Reach” and will include the samurai-inspired Yoroi armor set.
