The 2015 RPG epic The Witcher 3 is inherently visually appealing, with the Mod HD Reworked Project even more so. The modder HalkHoganPL delivers Nexusmods a major overhaul of numerous textures for more detail and sharpness, improved object LoDs, and much more.
Now the developer has announced that it will be at one NextGen-Version von The Witcher 3: HD Reworked Project to work. This should take the graphics improvements to the next level. As a first video preview shows, the difference could be really considerable:

High level of detail and crisp textures, for example with fruit, rocks and floor coverings The Witcher 3 shows in an even better light. Although the shades of some objects seem a bit unnatural so far, it is ultimately a work-in-progress and not a finished mod.
Cyberpunk 2077 Reworked is also planned: In addition, HalkHoganPL plans to tackle a similar project for Cyberpunk 2077 as well. The modder thinks, “It’s a really great looking game, but I’ve found some poor quality assets that I can upgrade to” higher quality “”.
Another gigantic fan project for The Witcher 3 shows how you can almost put together a new game with the help of mods:

Fans expand Witcher 3 by almost 200 new elements
When the NextGen version of The Witcher 3: HD Reworked will be released is still open. The developer stated in a post on his Patreon sidefor contacting CD Projekt Red to discuss a possible collaboration on the official NextGen version of The Witcher 3.
Official remaster is also coming
CD Projekt has its own NextGen remaster of The Witcher 3 in the works – or more precisely: commissioned. The new version, which appears for PC, Xbox Series X / S and PS5, is not created in-house, but by the remaster experts at Saber Interactive.
Here fans of The Witcher 3 should be able to fully enjoy all the advantages of the NextGen consoles. In other words, when the remaster appears, you should be able to experience the game with ray tracing support, HDR support and faster loading times.
The good news for all PC gamers who already own Witcher 3: the upgrade to the official NextGen version will be available for free. Owners of LastGen consoles, however, have to buy the new version for PS5 and Xbox Series X to benefit from the new features.
