It's official, Horizon: Zero Dawn is no longer PlayStation exclusive. Sony has confirmed the PC implementation that has been simmering in the rumor mill for a few weeks.

For a few weeks now, smaller and smaller droplets of information have been leaked to the public, indicating that one of the most important PS4 exclusive titles, Horizon: Zero Dawn, would soon be playable on another platform. Now there is certainty: The game released by Guerrilla Games in 2017 will also be available on the PC this summer. In an interview on the PlayStation Blog, Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios, confirmed the release of the title.

"Yes, I can confirm that Horizon: Zero Dawn will be coming to PC this summer," said Hulst, who inherited Shuhei Yoshida last winter. "More information will follow very soon from guerrillas." Hust says it wants to draw a wider audience to PlayStation: "I think it's important to stay open to new ideas about how we can bring more people closer to PlayStation and to show them what they might miss." Given the port, this is a contradicting statement, which is rather a reason for PC gamers to deal with the PlayStation.
At the same time, Hulst emphasized that Sony would remain in the console business. Publishing a first-party AAA title on the PC doesn't mean that no PlayStation game will be exclusive anymore. Horizon: Zero Dawn was only a very fitting title in this case.
