Today is available Hitman 3, the closing of the Agent 47 trilogy and one of the sections in which IO Interactive has wanted to fulfill in the best way, has been with the ability to transfer progress.
Hitman 2, with the Legacy Pack of Hitman 1, it included all the missions until that moment of the reboot of the franchise. Now we can enjoy the news of the third installment and those already known, but the process to do it has some conditions that we are going to clarify:
First of all and to reassure everyone, all Hitman 2 players will be able to transfer their progress to Hitman 3. That is, once you have made the transfer, you can enjoy your profile with all levels of mastery, ranks, levels of mastery of the scenarios and the rest of the unlocked elements.
For this, it is necessary have an IOI account and the process can only be done through a web page that will enable the study in the next few hours. The operation is not possible within Hitman 3 and only from the progress you made in Hitman 2, which includes the Hitman 1 Legacy Pack, if you own it.
Now let’s see how moving data between platforms works:
- The transfer is indivisible from the rest of the platforms, that is:
Hitman 2 (PlayStation) → Hitman 3 (PlayStation)
Hitman 2 (Xbox) → Hitman 3 (Xbox)
Hitman 2 (PC / Steam) → Hitman 3 (PC / Epic)
Thus, progression between consoles must be from the same family. From PS4 to PS5 and from Xbox One to Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S. In the case of PC, it will be necessary to make the change between Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Regarding Hitman 3 on Google Stadia, the transfer obtained in Hitman: World of Assassination can be made and it will be automatic. In the case of Nintendo Switch, it will not be possible to make any transfer since there are no previous versions of the two previous deliveries for the platform.
- It is essential to bear in mind that the transfer It can only be done once to the platform that you do it and it cannot be done again later.
- Upon transfer, progress on Hitman 2 will remain as it was. There will be no synchronization between progress in Hitman 2 and Hitman 3. Therefore, the advances you make in H itman 3 will not affect your game of Hitman 2 and vice versa.
Trophies and achievements
Hitman 3 has 47 trophies and achievements (depending on the platform you play on). Is about a very important attraction for many playersas it is an entertaining way to get the most out of the title.
With the transfer, you will inherit the achievements and trophies unlocked in Hitman 1 and Hitman 2. When you start Hitman 3, the notifications for previously achieved achievements will start to jump again, but in the new game.
There is only one exception for this. Some achievements and trophies related to mission scores and especially with Sniper Assassin mode they will not be unlocked automatically. We will have to get them again in Hitman 3.
Finally, remember that to have the content that we already have from Hitman 1 in Hitman 2, it is essential to transfer from the first installment to the second before finalizing the process in Hitman 3.
Be careful with this, if we start Hitman 3, we play normally, getting ranks, scores and elements and later we carry out the progress transfer, all the content unlocked in the game will be lost. It is because of that it is best to make sure to transfer before starting the game.
If you still have doubts about how to do the whole process, you can see the IO Interactive page which details all this information and much more. Hitman 3 arrives today at Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Epic Games Store, Stadia and Nintendo Switch via cloud play.
