Platformization. Hardcore shooting games are usually not popular.
But id Software wants to Eternal doom Will help break the monotony you encountered in Doom 2016.
"This is a monotonous arena corridor-arena corridor, and we can now break these interesting platform-like puzzles," executive producer Marty Stratton told VG247 in a recent hands-on event.
"We are not excessive; they are simple, but they can break the gameplay enough that I think it can be combined with tighter mechanics, visual effects, and everything else to get players involved."
Doom Eternal adds new moves to Doom Killer's tracks, so platformization is not limited to rough jumps and sudden death drops-if players fall into the void, they will be reborn. The new Shooter's new food hook is also an aid to movement (and tearing off large pieces from the enemy).
"Monkey bar and wall climbing, which really allows us not only to open up the space, but also makes it more epic when you cross the Grand Canyon twice and grab the wall to climb. It changes the rhythm of the game." Stratton said.
Then don't count on the action of "Edge of the Mirror" or "Titanfall", but around the hell of Doom Eternal, the blinking ghost of the shame is hidden. Take a look at the video above.
Doom Eternal will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on March 20.
