While several companies have canceled their arrival at PAX East in Boston due to the corona virus, New World Interactive is now using the stage of the US event to finally confirm the release date for Insurgency: Sandstorm on consoles. The shooter had already been released for the PC in December 2018, but has so far been a long time coming on PS4 and Xbox One – despite the announcement.
That will change in the further course of the year, because together with publisher Focus Home Interactive, August 25, 2020 has now been announced as the release date for the game on PS4 and Xbox One. The waiting time therefore continues for a few months, but at least there is now light at the end of the tunnel.
In keeping with the announcement, there is also a fresh trailer for the game, which you can see below. Anyone who has never heard of the successful Insurgency: Sandstorm will get a good first impression of the shooter in the clip.
The title also offers a class-based and tactically inspired shooter experience and several different cards and in different game modes. In addition to PvE content, numerous PvP options are also part of the game.
