One Piece will have a live-action series on Netflix. The platform confirmed this weeks ago, and fans are skeptical of the end result. Even more so in the adaptation of a series where rare physical deformities and transformations occur. Of course, many think that the Wano arc would be suitable to bring it to reality with this adaptation that can be as promising as a total failure. No details are yet known about the plot of this new series or which chapters will it be based on
As Bounding Into Comics explains, the leaked script of the first episode of the One-Piece live-action adaptation has arrived to them anonymously. Thanks to this they have discovered that the pilot is titled Romance Dawn, like the story that preceded One Piece created by Eiichiro Oda. According to this document dated June 7, 2019, the first episode would start in Loguetown to witness the execution of Gol D. Roger with some variations. Admiral Sengoku would now have direct involvement in this event, making him one of the series' primary antagonists. Later they would introduce little Luffy and the scene where he insists Shanks to enlist in his crew, removing some explicit scenes like Luffy's self-harm to the face.
The episode will take some licenses to develop the characters and will bring scenes after that time to put a chronology of events. The scene in which Zoro is arrested and crucified on a cross, although this time in a traditional way. And at the end of the episode Luffy and Coby will go on a boat, where the pirate recites his famous speech about the King of Pirates. Do you think the series will go so far as to show Orochi's rise to power in Wano Country?
