software
The most interesting release in April was MLB: The Show 21, which was the best-selling game of the month and the third best-selling game so far in 2021. According to NPD data, MLB: Show’s sales of $21 set a new record for the series of games, partly because the game was released on the Xbox platform at the same time, which was the first time in the series.
MLB: There is no doubt that Show 21 was also the best-sell ing game on PlayStation in April and ranked second on Xbox. Call of Duty: “Black Ops” Cold War ranked second in overall sales, followed by “New Pokemon”.
Just like Nintendo’s exclusive trend, New Pokemon Snap is Switch’s best-selling game, and its retail sales in the month of release are more than twice that of the original Pokemon Snap. Another exclusive game in April is PS5’s Returnal, which was released on the last day of the month and successfully ranked 8th and 3rd on PlayStation.
