Erin McMenamin’s killer
Erin’s killer was Ryan Ross, who was furious about his father John’s betrayal. He threatened Erin with Mr. Carrol’s gun to get rid of her, but then the gun went off.
Initially, John had claimed to be the killer to protect his son from prosecution.
For the audience, Ryan came as a surprise as the culprit. But like executive producer Craig Zobel US-Magazin TVLine said Ryan has always been the killer for writer Brad Inglesby: “As far as I know, he had this idea from the start. The series really grew out of that idea.”
After the identity of the killer was known, the finale took time to examine the emotional consequences for everyone involved.
“Just like at the beginning of the series, when you get to know the city and the people before you dive into the murder case, we felt it was similar on the other side,” Craig Zobel told TVLine.
“We felt like we needed some time after the thriller ended to talk about Mare and Easttown, the things that drive the show. In a way, that was very important to us, as was the fulfillment of the crime thriller. ”
Season 1 ends with Mare climbing the ladder to the attic where her son Kevin took his own life. So she finally faces the death of her son. If there is a Season 2 of “Mare of Easttown” we give, you will learn from us.
