In Japan, television ads have little or nothing to do with what we can see in other countries, let's say they have other tastes there. For example, can you imagine a McDonald’s ad as if it were an anime intro? This would be very difficult to see in Spain and other Western countries. Nevertheless, in Japan it is totally viable, to the point that McDonald’s has published one, as we can read in Comic book
That's right, McDonald’s Japan has posted on its YouTube channel a Christmas video how good could be the intro of an anime. In the announcement, three friends meet at McDonald’s to eat some hamburgers. The whole setting is very endearing and the song comes as a ring to the finger. It is certainly a very busy ad if we consider that they simply advertise a new hamburger.
McDonald’s opened its first store in Japan back in 1971. As for the menu, little or nothing has to do with what they offer in other countries. This is normal and does not happen only in Japan. McDonald’s usually offer different menus depending on the country. You did not know? We recommend you see the video they published in their day on Food Insider. They showed the different types of hamburgers we can order at McDonald’s fast food restaurants in Japan.
