Microsoft already made a big splash at the joint showcase with Bethesda at the weekend, but apparently that wasn’t all, because another showcase will follow this week.
Boredom was in short supply at Xbox Shocase on Saturday. Microsoft and Bethesda presented around 30 games, many of them new, and a number of Xbox-exclusive games or available in Game Pass from launch. But that was obviously not all, because as it became known, another showcase will follow on Thursday, June 17th at 7 p.m.
Apparently a lot revolves around interviews with developers and deeper insights into some of the projects. Ninja Theory (Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2), Double Fine (Psychonauts 2), Rare (Sea of Thieves) and Obsidian Entertainment (The Outer Worlds 2, Avowed), along with other partner studios, have been confirmed so far.
The question is still open whether there will also be projects that were not shown in the showcase, which is definitely the case with Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. We may then also learn more about Obsidian’s Avowed, which also shone with absence at the showcase. Especially because Obsidian confirmed after the showcase that there will be something to see about the new role-playing game “soon”.
