Hopefully this means that PC users will not have to wait longer to try out Project xCloud.
Microsoft begins internal testing Project xCloud This week is for PC. This is based on The Verge, which took a peek at this on Windows 10.
In order to stream Xbox games to a PC, users need to download the Xbox Game Streaming app for Windows 10. According to this article, the interface looks similar to what is available on mobile devices.
The article states that the PC application supports streaming games on the local or remote Xbox One instead of using Microsoft's xCloud server blade.
As with the mobile version, to take advantage of xCloud, users will need to have a Bluetooth Xbox One controller, a Microsoft account, and an Internet connection.
The tests currently available to Microsoft employees are limited to 720p streaming, but 1080p testing is "just around the corner".
Project xCloud is currently in preview for Android and iOS. There are multiple games available for Android in the preview, but iOS testing is limited.
Microsoft has not announced how its streaming service will integrate with the Xbox Series X, but it may be an important feature of the console.
Speaking of the Xbox Series X, Microsoft lifted its internal architecture restrictions earlier this week. Check out the console's specifications on the link and learn what we know about the console here.
