So far, it's just an unconfirmed rumor: A remaster for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming soon. After the recent campaign of the predecessor Modern Warfare 2 was reissued, the whole thing does not sound completely absurd.
We have already sent an inquiry to Activision – as soon as we get an answer, we will of course update this article.
Attention! Since these are only non-verified rumors and Activision has not yet commented on them, you should enjoy the following information with due caution.
The first rumors came up weeks ago: The well-known Leaker TheGamingRevolution claimed via Twitter that already I've been working on the remaster of Modern Warfare 3 for a while. The account from which the tweet came has been blocked due to rule violations, you can find a quote at thegamepost.
How credible is the Leaker? TheGamingRevolution correctly predicted at least the Warzone mode for the current Modern Warfare. In general, the channel is well informed about rumors and inside information about Call of Duty.
The remaster is said to be finished
TheGamingRevolution also speaks in a current YouTube video about the alleged remaster. He claims that it has now been completed, but does not know whether only the solo campaign will be reissued or whether there will also be a multiplayer.
As a possible clue that is supposed to be hidden in the remastered campaign of Modern Warfare 2, he names the in-game artwork on the museum. On their badges it says that they Part of the »Remastered Collection« are. Two games are not usually called a collection, so he suspects a third reboot.
The coronavirus pandemic is said to have had no negative impact on the schedule, according to the Leaker. He can't say exactly when MW3 Remastered should come. So far, not even the MW2 reboot for PC and Xbox One has been released:

CoD: MW 2 Remastered comes later for PC
It could therefore take a while until MW3 Remastered is officially confirmed, even if the alleged new edition should really be in the drawer. However, the official announcement for MW2 did not take place until immediately before the release. A similarly surprising publication would thus theoretically be conceivable again. Until Activision speaks out, of course, everything remains pure speculation.
Modern Warfare 2 appears cut again: Like the original, the remastered comes in Germany without the scandalous mission "No Russian". In our video on the most controversial CoD missions, we talk about eight particularly shocking scenes.
