With Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced an expansion to the successful beat'em-up hit from 2019. The add-on should be available from May 26, 2020 and brings an expansion of the story campaign with a new, film-like story about trust and fraud. The release is for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Stadia alike.
What's the matter? Fire god Liu Kang, the new guardian of the time and protector of the earthly realm, needs the help of some unexpected allies and familiar enemies to re-forge the story of two worlds whose fate is in the balance. The fighters join in the new expansion Fuj in, the god of the wind, who, together with his brother Raiden, serves to protect the elders of the gods, as well as the four-armed Sheeva, queen of the Shokan and half human, half dragon. RoboCop, the sophisticated cybernetic police officer, made his first appearance as a guest fighter in the history of Mortal Kombat. RoboCop is spoken in the English soundtrack by US actor Peter Weller, who already embodied the character in "RoboCop 1" and "RoboCop 2". In addition, three new character skin packs are gradually appearing.
In addition, all owners of the game will have access to new stages, including the classic arenas "Dead Pool" and "Soul Chamber", as well as Stage Fatalities, the favorite finisher of numerous fans, in which opponents are killed using the surroundings, and the popular friendships, a function from the nineties with which opponents are lovingly defeated. All of these features will be available as a free update with the release of Aftermath.
Those who have not yet started out can buy the new Aftermath collection, which includes all characters, story content and game modes in one package. Pre-orderers of the add-on will receive the skin package "Eternal Klash" with three new character skin variations.
