Disney has announced a new Star Wars film for the cinemas.
Taika Waititi will not only shoot the new Star Wars film, but will also write the script together with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (1917). The announcement also confirmed the Leslye Headland (Matryoshka) TV series.
What do we know about Taika Waititi's Star Wars film?
It is currently not known when Taika Waititi's Star Wars film will be released, which characters or actors will appear, and in which era of the Star Wars universe the project will fit.
Disney announced that a few months ago Release dates for upcoming Star Wars films from which Taika Waititi could take over. Provided, of course, that these are still up to date: Originally, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss take over the first slot before their Star Wars project was sawed off:

In this regard, fans should wait for official information from Disney. There could possibly be the latest at the Star Wars Celebration 2020, which is scheduled to take place from August 27th to 30th.
