Nostalgia and Jedi action in the big “The Mandalorian” final

“The Mandalorian” Season 2 Comes to the Grand Finale at Disney +! Is Grogu Finally Meeting a Jedi Master? Can Mando Moff defeat Gideon? We know more!

• The second season of “The Mandalorian“comes to the grand finale in chapter 16. The episode was directed by Ant-Man director Peyton Reed.
• This will follow in winter 2021 “The Mandalorian” Staffel 3
  bei Disney+.
• There is a scene after the credits. The short scene is tough: the sequel “The Book of Boba Fett” is announced for 2021.

The finale of “The Mandalorian“Season 2 is now at Disney+ available. In order to free his foundling, Grogu, Mando recruits Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) and Koska (Mercedes Varnado) Chapter 11 “The Heiress to the Throne”. Mando reveals to Bo-Katan that he has tracked down Moff Gideon.

Since Bo-Katan wants Moff Gideon’s dark sword back, she agrees. Together they kidnap Dr. Pershing and board Moff Gideon’s light cruiser. M ando’s troop fight their way through and can capture Moff Gideon and free Grogu.

However, Moff Gideon tries to drive a wedge between Bo-Katan and Mando. Since Mando Moff defeated Gideon in a duel, he is entitled to the dark sword and Bo-Katan’s only way to regain control of Mandalore is to kill Mando.

However, there are no more internal disputes than the dark troops attack. Fortunately, a Jedi Knight comes to the rescue and saves the day: Luke Skywalker (a superbly digitally rejuvenated Mark Hamill). In the end, Grogu leaves with Luke and R2-D2. Mando looks afterwards sadly.

After the credits there is a short scene in which Boba Fett and Fennec Shand storm the palace of Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine. Boba takes place on Jabba’s throne and a sequel to the story is announced for December 2021: “The Book of Boba Fett”.

It can be assumed that this is “The Mandalorian” Staffel 3 which was also confirmed for the Christmas period 2021. So the story of Mando would end unexpectedly with this episode.
