Chelsea Klukas is a product designer at Oculus. Now, she designed a face mask that uses an LED display to warn you to stay away. She explained in the video how to make such a freak mask herself.

First of all: like the mask shown, its protective effect is limited and cannot be used permanently. As the manufacturer also pointed out, breathing “through the built-in electronics” can be difficult.

We believe that the mask covering the mouth and nose looks more fashionable than most other masks. In addition, it has been repeatedly warned that people who wear masks tend not to maintain the minimum distance required today and will weigh themselves with a false sense of security. The model shown here subtly solves this problem.

The mask in the video was designed by Chelsea Klukas. On the one hand, she is a product designer of VR brand Oculus, which belongs to Facebook. On the other hand, it operates a fashion technology brand under the name "Lumencouture". In short: Klukas has accumulated a lot of experience in lighting clothes and gadgets. Since she currently sits at home like most other people in the world, she has time and leisure time to take care of such projects.

With built-in gasket and equalizer

Your mask is equipped with an LED panel that can be controlled individually using iOS or Android apps. For example, she designed a pattern with "6 Ft". Six feet corresponds to approximately 1.90 meters, which is the currently recommended minimum distance between people. The effect is equally good: you can use the built-in microphone to capture your own sound, and the microphone will be visualized in the form of an equalizer graphic on the mask.

If necessary, you can build this LED mask yourself. You can find the necessary parts and instructions in the built-in YouTube video.

Technology companies are currently facing global challenges in different ways. For example, Dyson has a promising patent that describes headphones with a built-in air purifier. Tesla followed closely, and like other car brands, has already begun production of ventilator or parts needed for ventilator.
