One of the peculiarities of the PlayStation 5 is the desire that Sony, since the first presentation of the appearance of the machine, offer its console in other colors expressed by many gamers. While some PS5 owners are waiting for the manufacturer to decide to vary the delights, they have decided to take matters into their own hands.

The standard white model is the only PS5 model currently available (for those who happen to find it). And less than a month after the console was released, custom consoles are already showing up on the web in North America and Japan. And while some of these adjustments are expected to change the color of the console’s side panels, these aren’t the only changes made by home improvement.
One of them based on the pseudonym “GameReaper187“On Twitter, for example, he pledged to res tore the original colors of the PlayStation logo on the cover of the PS5. To achieve this, he made inlays from laser-cut materials. Photos of his work are available in our gallery below
Another PS5 owner decided to back-light the same PlayStation logo. He goes on to explain Reddit To do this, he cut out an electroluminescent plate that he placed under the side plate of the PS5. The adjustments already visible on the Internet also include those of the user of Reddit Who used Plasti Dip to create an all black PS5. For your information, Plasti Dip is a “liquid elastomer coating that polymerizes when dry and forms a protective film made of synthetic rubber”. The advantage of this process is that if the player wants to restore his console to its original appearance, all he has to do is peel off the layer of Plasti Dip.
