In a livestream last night, People Can Fly has now presented the promising Outriders in more detail and announced fresh details. They also answered a crucial question: Do you follow a live service approach like many titles currently do, or is there a full package for the purchase price?

The upcoming Outriders of Bulletstorm makers from People Can Fly and Square Enix wants to oppose the current trends of looter shooters and will not rely on a live service model. The makers have now confirmed this on the edge of a stream in which the title was presented in detail.
Contrary to the numerous other genre representatives, you will not have to wait for fresh content over time and then possibly even have to invest coal again. Instead, the makers of the Polish studio want to make all relevant content available for the one-time purchase price right at the start of the title, which has been in development for four years now.
"We start with the full game so you can really enjoy everything in it. It was the plan four years ago and it was a decision and a direction that we are now sticking to," said lead narrative designer Szymon Barchan.
Rafal Pawlowski, lead level designer at the studio, adds: "Games are really expensive and we want the players to really get everything right for the launch at this price." But even if you don't want to do a batch release, the title also has longer-term plans, but they shouldn't be at the expense of the full version. One wants to create a "huge universe", says Pawlowski, and as a result one will "expand it at some point". Until then, however, one is focused on the completion of the main game and wants to deliver the "full package with a full game and the complete storyline".
By the way, People Can Fly does not see the shift from summer to autumn 2020 as such. The original release period could very well have been met, the postponement of the release date had more to do with the PS5 and the Xbox Series X and the decision to also publish for the new platforms.
