Attention RPG fans: The new series offshoot Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous from Owlcat Games is entering the first beta test phase today.
As Owlcat Games announced today, the continuation of the Pathfinder series has taken a decisive step forward. The first beta test phase of the new classic, isometric CRPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous starts today. This is open to all supporters of the Kickstarter campaign and slacker backers, provided they have contributed the corresponding minimum contribution.
The new beta version contains the first four chapters (prologue + chapters 1-3 with all quests, storylines and romance options) of the later finished game and should keep you busy for more than 50 hours. In addition, there is already the possibility in this beta to share your experiences on Twitch or YouTube in video form. The fourth chapter, however, is not yet complete because some side quests are still missing and assets have to be finalized.
To celebrate the beta start, the interactive community quest called “Choose Your Own Story” has also been announced. The events of the quest are determined exclusively by the community; the starting signal will be given on Twitch on February 5th at 2:00 p.m.
Separately from this, the beta offers two combat modes: real-time with pause and turn-based as in Pathfinder: Kingmaker – Definitive Edition. The new gameplay trailer, which has battle scenes in store for you, gives you more impressions.
A second beta test phase is planned for the spring, which should offer even more content, including those that Kickstarter supporters were promised.
