Anyone who has signed up for the PlayStation firmware beta program will likely already have been informed by Sony about the new firmware update with version number 7.50. As usual, the upcoming system update is always only rolled out to this group in order to check the functionality in the open field.

First, the corresponding email was shared by the Japanese PlayStation user MP1st on Twitter. Now for the exciting answer to the question that is on your tongue: What changes firmware 7.50? As you may have guessed, without a large version number, it is just a minor update that does not add any significant new features to your console. Instead, the e-mail speaks of "quality-of-life and performance fixes". It is unusual, however, that Sony does not normally conduct beta tests for smaller patches. Therefore, users may find some minor novelties in the system in the coming days.
