Playstation Plus Free Games Announced for January 2021
The free line up for Playstation Plus for the month of January 2021 includes a few very different games, so there is something for everyone to start your year off. Titles include the ferocious Maneater, shark RPG, the new world Action-RPG Greedfall and action-adventure Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Maneater – PS5
Maneater, describe as ShaRkPG, will be available for PS5, and brings shark attacks with a whole different perspective. In this game you’re the toothy biter, who will explore the open-world RPG, first starting as a shark pup, then growing into larger more ferocious size. The story is a bit of sad one as you witness your mum being killed, but it’s also a tale (or tail) of revenge as you go after the culprits. You can even tailor your shark to your own playstyle.
Greedfall
Greedfall is another title free with PS Plus this January on PS4. The Action-RPG is all about the discovering the new world. The title features a pretty impressive set of RPG systems, including the chance to put your own party together, customising everything from magical abilities to armor. The combat mixes your traditional melee and guns options with the choice of magic spells, letting you cast and use traditional weapons at the same. Greedfall was also announced recently by developer Spiders to be getting some new content for PS5 and Xbox Series X after it celebrate reaching over one million copies sold worldwide.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Also on the list for January is Shadow of the Tomb Raider. This action-adventure sends Lara Croft to South America. Explore, fight, craft and survive perilous jungles and other unforgiving environments. The story follows Croft as she tries to save the world from a Maya apocalypse. It’s complete with deadly puzzles and long-forgotten tombs to explore.
All games mentioned will be available until Monday 1st February.
