Microsoft submitted and, as is usually the case, first announced the free offers as part of Xbox Live Gold. Sony is now following suit with the free games on PS Plus – and they have it all!
When it comes to the quality of the free full version as part of the online subscriptions Xbox Live and PS Plus, Sony will have a clear lead in early April, because in contrast to the Microsoft line-up that has already been confirmed, Sony has for PS4 and PS5 put together a really handsome package including an exclusive hit.
The new titles via PlayStation Plus will be available from April 6, 2021 and are truly impressive. On PlayStation 5, you can look forward to Abe’s latest adventure, Oddworld: Soulstorm. In the mix of action adventure and platformer, which is directly linked to the events of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty from 2014, Abe has to save his Mudokon fellows with all available means. You have to collect followers, use weapons and solve puzzles in order to survive.
So while next-gen owners have already been taken care of, PS4 gamers can look forward to even more well-known representatives – and ultimately PS5 owners again. The absolute hit of the April line-up is without a doubt the exclusive blockbuster Days Gone. Here you take on the role of the vagabond and bounty hunter Deacon St. John in a post-apocalyptic world, who roams the desolate open world of the Pacific Northwest. With your familiar motorcycle you have to face swarms of mindless freaks and also prepare for unpredictable weather, day and night times and other surprises.
The third and last title remains true to the undead: On PS4 there is also Zombie Army 4: Dead War, in which you have to deal with Hitler’s undead henchmen. The shooter from the makers of Sniper Elite 4 takes you to a Europe in the 1940s, where abnormal and occult enemies await you as part of a campaign for one to four players.
