Destruction AllStars, which is exclusively for the PS5, will receive developers’ support for at least one year.
Lucid Games and Sony xDev, the developers behind Destroy all stars This is one of the free games on PlayStation Plus in February, and it participated in a new interview with Eurogamer, where the studio outlined player expectations for this action-based driving game.
The interview gave a more detailed introduction to the game, and we haven’t heard much so far. Sony xDev’s John McLaughlin pointed out that the developers have set a “plan for the next year” for the live service title-although updates are to be released, this is not as clear as following a strict roadmap.
“So we have a plan,” McLaughlin told Eurogamer. “The first few months are basically for people to play games and enter games. Of course, we will look at the analysis and what people are playing. Although we have made plans for the coming year, we have received a lot of interesting things. We really want to interact with the community, and we want to hear what they are saying.
“The important thing is that the life services department must be able to pivot so that you know and listen to what people are saying.”
It sounds like the studio wants to draw inspiration from companies such as “Fall Guys”. The studio seems to have provided a rhythmic rhythm for pre-planned updates while responding to player feedback, thus achieving a good balance.
The official website of the Destroy All-Star team says that there are a total of 16 heroes, and each character will have various abilities in the car, such as spikes that can be deployed on the car body, and frontal armor, which can crush opponents more easily. The magnet attracts other racers nearby, and so on.
Whether future updates will introduce more heroes, more cars, more abilities, etc. remains to be revealed. But considering that the game will be launched on PlayStation Plus (similar to Fall Guys), we think Sony xDev and Lucid Games will want to maintain a large initial player base for as long as possible.
