In today’s Xbox and Bethesda showcase, Sad cat studio with Upper clothes trough Announced a new gorgeous sci-fi platform game called Replaced, Its first trailer surprised us.
As you can see from the moody trailer below, Replaced is “a modern movie platform game set in another 80s. You play REACH, an artificial intelligence trapped in the human body against your will.” Sounds great, right?
In addition to the cool premise, the game also has some stunning 2.5D graphics, exploring the “dark alternatives of the 80s” in a lush retro-futuristic style.
“Most of us think that the 80s was an era full of problematic hairstyles, speakers, gorgeous rock, and iconic games such as Pac-Man and Tetris; Laura Barnwell, Coatsink’s digital marketing manager, said this was a simpler Time (despite more flashes). “But if the Trinity nuclear test in the 1940s went wrong and caused the bomb to explode and lead to the destruction of the country, what would it be like in the 1980s?
“In “Replacement”, you can catch a glimpse of the world, where the “sweet dream” is a place to sleep, and you “stopped believing” a long time ago…”
Check out the first trailer below.
The game—perhaps not surprisingly—lists works like Blade Runner 2049, Aliens and Upgrades as its source of inspiration. It happened nearly forty years after the nuclear explosion, in a walled fortress called Phoenix, ruled by the corrupt Phoenix company-a company built on “matching” voluntary donors with greedy customers who want to upgrade their body parts. On the basis of.
All this is very very sci-fi and cyberpunk. This is a bit reminiscent of the last night that disappeared without a trace a few years ago. Let us hope that Replaced suffers a better fate.
Replaced is scheduled to be released in 2022. It will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC and Xbox Game Pass.
