Rocket League players on Mac and Linux will soon get the final patch for the game.
Psyonix announced that it will end support for Mac and Linux, including SteamOS, Rocket League. As far as these two platforms are concerned, the next patch for the game will be released in March, which will be its last patch.
With the release of the patch, players on Mac and Linux will no longer have access to online features, including online games, leaderboards, and in-game markets. However, as long as future Mac / Linux OS updates don't break the game in some way, the game can still be played offline.
When buying a Mac or Linux game, Steam owners have access to a copy of Windows by default, so you should be able to continue playing on Windows. Although Psyonix does not officially support tools such as Wine or Proton, and Boot Camp on Macs, developers say players can use them to play Windows versions.
