With Rogue Company, the former halo professional Scott Lussier wants to get a place in the competitive shooter market. The game designer from First Watch Games has put together a team of developers from Hi-Rez Studios (Smite, Paladins) to realize the Rogue Company.
With its comic style, Rogue Company is visually reminiscent of the popular Battle Royale shooter Fortnite or Overwatch. The title, on the other hand, is more playful between CS: GO and Rainbow Six: Siege, as Lussier explained in an interview with PC Gamer.
How does Rogue Company want to achieve this?
In Rogue Company we step in 4v4 with one Selection of heroes who are mercenaries of a syndicate. The heroes bring their own skills, which should help to dominate the match tactically, which is reminiscent of Overwatch or Rainbow Six: Siege. The focus of Rogue Company is increasingly on shooter gameplay, so we shoot for victory.
The orientation reminds of CS: GO In-game economy. We earn money by playing successfully with which we buy our equipment in the following rounds. This creates an additional level of strategy because we cannot simply always afford the strongest loadout. The new shooter Valorant by LoL developer Riot Games also follows a similar approach.

Rogue Company appears in Summer 2020 in the Epic Games Store. Developer First Watch has not yet commented on the price. Time will tell whether it relies on a Free2Play model or a retail price like some of its competitors.
