Interesting news to offer us Acer, the technology brand, with different products that will arrive in its catalog. The most important of course are the new laptop models, among which we find the Predator Triton 500 SE and Predator Helios 500, which will have 11th generation processors and GPUs corresponding to the RTX 30 Series. They will arrive in Europe in July.
Obviously, we are talking about devices that, although they can serve us perfectly as a workstation, are focused on providing a high-level gaming experience. For example, in the case of the Predator Triton 500 SE we have a 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11900H with frequencies of up to 5.0 GHz (launched this year) and that has in its guts a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 with 64GB
With all this on the table, we will be able to move works such as Red Dead Redemption 2 O Cyberpunk 2077 above 100FPS without any problem. What’s more, it has a 16-inch screen, 3 ms response and 240 Hz for constant fluidity. Regarding the battery life we will not have a problem either, since it will have an autonomy of 12 hours and its 19.9 mm thickness allow easy transport.
Beyond the classic RGB colors to look portable, the Triton 500 SE makes use of Vortex Flow. It is an Acer technology that allows a cooling through three fans, which includes intake and exhaust vents to allow constant air flow.
Wifi 6 (improving speeds), Ethernet controller, USB 3.2 ports and SD card reader for a laptop that has Windows 10 Home and boots by 1.999 dollars.
Predator Helios 500
We have a partner this time. If the previous model has not convinced you, you can take a look at the Predator Helios 500. What will you find inside? An Intel Core i9-11980HK CPU, also 11th generation, with possibility of overclocking being able to increase its performance. Regarding the graphics, we are not short either: Nvdia GeForce RTX 3080 and 64 GB of DDR4 memory.
Obviously, to enjoy high-quality titles, it has a 17.3-inch screen, with 4K Mini LED resolution at 120 Hz, although you can opt for the one that offers 360 Hz with 3 ms response. We’re not going to be short on hertz, of course.
To endure the more than predictable marathon sessions, the Predator Helios 500 will make use of its other cooling technology Acer PowerGem, based on a metal alloy polymer that distributes heat throughout the notebook. Aiding the process will be two fifth-generation AeroBlade fans.
Once again there will be RGB lighting and the WASD keys, in particular, are fitted with MagTek mechanical switches. This supposes bring a keyboard’s sensitivity closer to what jostycks can deliver of a command. The WiFi 6 will continue with us, along with optional 5G Ethernet, betting on the future of connections. HDMI 2.1, two USB Type C and three USB 3.2 ports that will be available from the 2.499 dollars.
