After the cancellation of the E3 2020 in Los Angeles, more and more companies are saying that they had planned a larger program there. Square Enix is now also exploring "other ways" to still be able to make these announcements.
Above all considering the approaching next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X, the cancellation of the E3 2020 in Los Angeles is a disappointment for many players. After all, the trade fair in June is regularly one of the most important events in the entire industry and enticed with numerous game impressions and new products. However, health is also clearly in this case and so the decision of the ESA to forego the orientation this year is also accepted and praised by Square Enix.
Square Enix had also planned a major E3 appearance and wanted to present its line-up of new players in more detail at the fair. Now the company has spoken in an update on Twitter and, detached from the situation around Covid-19, stresses that the new game line-up is "stronger than ever" – including titles for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

For this reason, one will now look for alternatives to the canceled E3 in order to present and present the new titles extensively. The E3 had always provided an excellent stage for this, now they wanted to "explore other options to share the games with you".
That means translated: Since Square Enix is hardly planning an event including an audience in view of the pandemic, a special, own online event is on the agenda – similar to Microsoft and Ubisoft. We'll keep you up to date.
