EA and Star Wars wasn't always a success story – despite Star Wars: Battlefront II. Has that changed with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order? The first estimates of the sales figures are now available.

After discontinued projects and a lot of criticism about Star Wars: Battlefront II, Electronic Arts had high hopes for the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Before the release, the publisher targeted between 6 and 8 million sales by the end of the current fiscal year on March 31, 2020 as a target. Have these expectations been met?
If, according to the renowned market analyst Daniel Ahmad, it is not only that! Rather, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is said to have already exceeded this expectation two months before the end of the fiscal year – and that is quite impressive.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is expected to sell 10 million units by March 31st 2020 according to EA.

As Ahmad emphasizes, EA has therefore increased its sales forecast noticeably until the end of the financial year and now assumes that by the end of March a whopping 10 million copies of the game will have been sold over the counter.
It seems almost ironic that the first major single player title of all years has become such a success for EA. In the recent past, the publisher increasingly used live service elements.
