The Mafia Trilogy – First Teaser confirms new editions of all three Mafia parts.
Now the cat is out of the bag. And she has a Tommy Gun with her. The Mafia games will all be published again and again appear as part of the Mafia: Trilogy. That was announced today by publisher 2K Games and the developers at Hangar 13 with a first teaser.
The 30-second video does not reveal much, however. It merely presents the title of the collection and lets the series protagonists Vito Scaletta and Lincoln Clay have their say. And of course they talk about their "family" and the misdeeds they have done on their behalf. But one thing is clear:
- All three parts are published as a collection.
- The games appear on Steam as well as in the Epic Store and for Stadia.
- The games also appear for the current consoles.
If you want to know more details, you have to be patient until May 19th. On this day, the correct announcement should take place and more details will probably be revealed. Colleague Dimitry Halley already has a good idea of what he expects from the trilogy:

The Mafia Trilogy is great – but we have questions
Just a collection or a remaster?
The trilogy Mafia 1, Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 will undoubtedly be included. It is not yet known whether content will be added or the games may even be completely revised. The first leaks originally indicated definitive editions of Mafia 2 and Mafia 3.
However, we already know that both games were submitted for age rating in Korea in April. This could also mean that the remasters will be released regardless of the trilogy. The term "definitive edition" also sounds as if these new versions also contain all subsequently released DLCs.

Crime in games – a bit of crime is a must
How the trilogy version of the first series part, which is particularly popular among fans, looks like. It could just be a new release, but a more fully revised version would of course be more desirable. There is a little hope that Mafia 1, like parts 2 and 3, will also appear for the current consoles, which alone necessitates extensive changes to the program code. However, Mafia 1 cannot be seen in the teaser. You can find out how good each part of the trilogy was in our test collection on Mafia.
