In Marvel there is a multiverse that has a lot of different versions of superheroes, but that's not the only thing that changes, villains also feature their alternate stories that are completely different from what we normally know. One of the best known is undoubtedly Thanos, also known as the Crazy Titan who has wanted to be the governor of the entire universe since he began his search for the gems of infinity to become the most powerful of all.
This great Marvel villain also has his different versions that are part of other Earths they do not belong to Earth-616. In fact, we have also had the opportunity to see him as an antagonist of the Infinity Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
King Thanos Elder
It is a future version of Thanos located on Earth-TRN666, where a universe is shown where the villain has managed to beat superheroes who faced him and remained king until the years of his old age. This one was so powerful that he had the Hulk himself eating from his hand as if he were his pet, and he had servants who did what he wanted. Despite having everything, this old Thanos was not satisfied because he desired and to remain in eternal rest because he had fulfilled what he always delved into.
To fulfill his wish to die, he went to look for the original Thanos to finish him off, but he did not want to, so he simply used the gems to alter reality, making the universe where Earth-TRN666 was was considered as if it had never existed. It should be noted that, unlike the young Thanos, his old version, he was wiser, more peaceful, and philosophical, and his appearance had a longer helmet, white beard and was more corpulent than normal.
Clones of thanos
In an attempt to have a Plan B in case he ever needed additional help, on Earth 616 in "The Infinite Abyss", Thanos undertakes a new project that involves cloning himself. At first, his first result was not as satisfactory as he had generated very simple copies with limited abilities, but after doing a little more research, managed to make clones with DNA Doctor Strange, Professor X, Iron Man, Galactus and Gladiator, who were called Mystic, X, Armored, Warrior and Omega, each with the appearance of Thanos, but bearing the style of DNA with which it was combined.
The most powerful clone of these 5, was without a doubt Omega, the combination of Thanos and Galactus who was even more powerful than its creator without the need to wear the infinity gauntlet. This was about to eliminate the entire universe, but thanks to the group of superheroes and villains where Thanos was, they were able to stop him and get rid of him. This perhaps was one of the most powerful beings in his lifetime.
Ultimate Thanos
It is one of the best designs that the crazy titan has had, since this represents a more modern and much more powerful version. First appeared in Ultimate Fantastic Four # 35 (2006) developing his acts on Earth-1610, where Thanos is considered almost a divine being for his incredible abilities, as he has super strength, high resistance to damage, cosmic psychic powers, manipulation of minds, resurrecting from death taking the life of other beings alive, controlling at will what their shape would be like in their next life and transferring souls from one body to another.
Thanos Ultimate was about to conquer the universe 30 thousand years agoLater, at present, the Fantastic Four faced him in a fight to obtain the tesseract and managed to eliminate him.
Thanos Poison
In the Venom Universe parasites called "Poisons" (Ponzoñas) began to be generated with the objective of hunt down symbiotes from the multiverse to become their guests, thus managing to erase their memories, self-awareness and reasoning, which makes them become lethal beasts after the process of being infected with the sole objective of killing and destroying everything in their path.
The leader of the parasites that led the attack on Earth-616 to continue spreading into the multiverse was Thanos Ponzoña, the version of Thanos that was infected and it was part of the Ponzoñas. This had a more rustic appearance throughout his body and a face more like a skull. However, Jean Gray managed to remove the Queen from the hive mind when confronted with her and everything returned to normal, since the parasites became extinct when this happened.
Thanoseid
Yes, Thanos and Darkseid were fused making them one of the most powerful villains in the entire Marvel and DC multiverse. When the two companies did the crossover in the 90s in the Amalgam Universe, they combined several of their best-known characters, and of course they had to give him a worthy antagonist who could be so powerful as to take on these fused superheroes. Thanoseid had the Aim to win the love of Lady Death (The death we see in the comics where Thanos appears), but to achieve it he had to destroy the universe in which he was using the Supreme Anti-Life Nullifier.
This version had the powers of the two villains, but something very representative of this combination, is that Thanoseid was able to have greater control over the Omega effect. In the same way, he was arrested thanks to the fused superheroes, getting everything back to normal.
Stronger: Avenger Thanos
Did you ever imagine Thanos as a superhero? If you did, then you found out what was happening on Earth-TRN627, a world created by the Sisters of Eternity to send the mad titan to live his days as a true hero, where Thanos even becomes the leader of the Avengers to stop the villains who threaten the peace of the earth. In fact, his performance with the good guys was so excellent that he was named champion of the cosmos, something he was completely satisfied with.
Unfortunately after a while Thanos realizes that he is not really like that, and discovers that he is in an alternative reality to the one he was subjected against his will. When this happens, the Sisters of Eternity give him a choice between being one of the best heroes in the universe, or returning to reality with his powers, and he obviously chooses to return leaving behind all the good things he once did.
Thanoscopter
Of all the versions that have been named, this is perhaps the most fun of Thanos and also one of the best known. Thanoscopter first appeared in Spidey Super-Stories # 39 (1979) Where the villain wanted to get the cosmic cube to become more powerful, and for this, he thought that all he needed was a yellow helicopter with his name written on it so that everyone knew who was flying it. When Spider-Man and Hellcat realized that the insane titan was in town wreaking havoc, they went to arrest him and managed to retrieve the tesseract so Thanos would not seize him. However, the helicopter was useless, since it was the same reason that his plan failed.
