What the developers hide between their titles can be absolutely incredible. Yesterday we were talking about a thread on Twitter that urged the workers of the industry to relate their best Easter eggs.

However, there is one that stands out above all. Matt Phillips, former developer of Homefront: The Revolution, has revealed through his Twitter account that the game hides a great secret. Specifically, a native 4K port of TimeSplitters 2.

My proudest moment. Native and fully playable 4K port of TimeSplitters 2 hidden in this arcade machine in Homefront: The Revolution.

As you are reading it. An arcade machine within the title of Deep Silver hides an entire game with such a graphical improvement. Despite the fact that users had d iscovered files about it in the internal code, no one had been able to figure out how to access it. And it seems that it will continue like this for a long time.

Phillips admits that this TimeSplitters 2 It is fully playable, but requires a sequence to unlock. The problem is that does not own the notebook in which he wrote it

. What’s more, he gave it to a friend to filter on Discord, but “they called him a liar and banned his account.”

The thing does not end here. The designer goes further and points out that he configured the arcade in such a way that it could activate a multiplayer menu and thus be able to play some games with other users, with up to two maps from the original game.

With such candy in front of them, the community will surely bend over backwards to focus your efforts on accessing the title. However, Phillips drops a cold water jug, noting that “there is nothing in the base game that even remotely hints at cheating, sorry.”

Finally, it should be noted that TimeSplitters 2 could be integrated into Homefront: The Revolution since Dambuster is the studio founded by the creators of the saga, Free Radical. It would not be surprising that in a few years we return to this topic, with the news that someone has managed to unravel the mystery.
