The first season of The Witcher series finally started on Netflix on December 20. This also helps the long-standing role-playing epic The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to a new high.

A few days ago Netflix started the first season of "The Witcher", which is mainly based on the books, but also uses visual borrowings from the video games. The reviews are mostly positive, but not all are completely enthusiastic about season 1 of the series. Nevertheless, this also helps CD Projekt RED and the long-standing role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
How Play Tracker reported, the start of the series has also given the RPG epic new momentum. Fans returned to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and gambled titles on a scale like it hadn't been for a long time. On Steam, the number of gamers playing at the same time was around 48,000 – a value that had not been achieved since the release of the final DLC package "Blood & Wine" in summer 2016 and the game as one of the top titles of the then Steam Summer sale was valid.
Not only on the PC, gamers returned to the world of The Witcher, but also on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. According to the site's surveys, the title was particularly popular with buyers of the original game version and not, for example the Game of the Year or Complete Edition, as you might think. Players can differentiate between the individual versi ons on the consoles, not on the PC.
According to estimates, a million gamers gambled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt again in December – a number that would look good even on current top titles. The value is also significantly higher than the number of players in the RPG epic published in 2015 in the past two years.
In this respect, CD Projekt RED should be anything but unhappy about the start of the Netlix series, especially since even the previous tracks are in somewhat more demand. The Witcher brought over 5,000 simultaneous gamers on Steam, which almost tripled the previous peak in 2019, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings climbed to over 3,000 simultaneous gamers and doubled its previous peak in 2019.
