Fact 1: Geralt has new armor in season 2
The photos can be seen on the official Witcher Twitter page, among other places. It is noticeable: Geralt is in a new witcher armor, but wears it the same steel sword he wielded in Season 1. Also interesting that he still has Renfri’s brooch attached to his blade.
The caption quotes the second book of the Witcher saga by author Andrzej Sapkowski Time of the Storm:
“” It may come to that, “said the white-haired man a moment later,” that your comrades or companions wonder what attacked these bad men. Tell them the wolf bit them. The white wolf. And also mention, that from now on they should always look behind them. One day they will look behind them and see the wolf. “”
An upgrade of Geralt’s armor can also be seen: A strap is attached to the witcher’s left leg, with which he can carry several small bottles with him. These are undoubtedly various potions and maybe even oils that a witcher like Geralt needs to hunt monsters.

Fact 3: How Yen Fares After the Season 1 Finale
Yennefer’s fate is not as sealed as Geralt assumes: Meanwhile, the first pictures of Anya Chalotra in season 2 of The Witcher have also been published. And they show that Yen is alive and well after her fiery exit in the finale of the first season, but is in chains with battle marks.
But who captured Yennefer after the Battle of Sodden? The most obvious candidates for this would of course be the armed forces of Nilfgaard – but at this point one can only speculate.
One thing is certain, however: Geralt should set worlds in motion to free his beloved Yen from her predicament and to bring her tormentors to account.

Fact 5: More wizards from the wolf school
The cast of the 2nd season already reveals that there are a few other witches besides Geralt: In addition to Henry Cavill (Geralt von Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer) and Freya Allen (Ciri) will of course return. In addition, new actors join the cast, such as Kim Bodnia (Vesemir) and Basil Eidenbenz (Eskel), Yasen Atour (Coen), Paul Bullion (Lambert) – all of them witchers like Geralt himself.

The Witcher: Netflix series has to replace a witcher
Coen is a special case: Unlike the others, the witcher does not come from the school of the wolf. But he should play an important role in Ciris training and build a close connection to her – at least if the series sticks to the book.
Fact 6: Season 2 starts with a popular short story
On December 22, 2020, the first page of the Season 2 script was revealed on the official Netflix Twitter channel. So fans already know what the start of the upcoming Witcher episodes will look like. Should you not want to anticipate this, be ahead from this point Spoilers to the story warned! Because the script reveals some important details, especially to those who know the books.
This is what happens in the script: Season 2 of The Witcher begins in an abandoned village, which is completely shrouded in darkness. Three new characters appear in this eerie place: the dealer Colin Coppercloth with his wife Kira and their daughter Meena.
While looking for a place to stay, suddenly a bloodcurdling scream sounds and Kira suddenly disappears without a trace. When Colin turns to his daughter, Meena is covered in blood. And Colin quickly falls victim to a mysterious monster that is up to mischief in the village.
Meena only has the escape to the only light she can make out in the dark. She comes across a house in the Prussian style. And from this point on, one can speculate that Season 2 of The Witcher is about the short story A Grain of Truth from Andrzej Sapkowski’s Last Wish.

There are these backgrounds from the books: We already know that Kristofer Hivju (known as Tormund Giant Death from Game of Thrones) will appear as Nivellen in Season 2 of The Witcher. It is obvious that his short story from the Witcher novels is taken up. According to the official script, it will be so far in episode 1 of the second season.
Warning: the following paragraph contains spoilers
Nivellen is a man who was punished with a curse after he raped a priestess of the lion head spider cult, Coram Agh Tera. Since then he has had to eke out a life as a hideous monster, which resembles a huge, hairy bear. His mind and personality remained unaffected by the curse – for Nivellen was already corrupted before his transformation.
Thereupon Nivellen remained ostracized from society in his mansion until the witcher Geralt met him at some point. Here Geralt learns that Nivellen once spared a man who broke into his property if his daughter kept him company for a year. Nivellen then said goodbye to the daughter with gold and precious stones and since then fathers have come to see him again and again, who in return for wealth left their daughters to Nivellen for a year.
