2012 was fat and showed that racing games can be fun even if you have no idea about cars. That it doesn't always take a lot of frills to tell strong stories. That even a blizzard is not infallible. Or organic goods. 2012 offered blockbusters that reinvented themselves and indie titles that stole the show from the big competition. A good year.
Place 10: Far Cry 3
After the lengthy second part, Ubisoft changed the playful formula for Far Cry 3. In the fight against a pirate gang under the leadership of the crazy Vaas, it went all over the island of Rook Island. There were numerous quests to complete, take outposts and gain experience points. This is the absolute standard at Far Cry today, but it was fresh and groundbreaking back then. In addition, Obermotz Vaas gave us some memorable moments.
