Ubisoft has announced that it plans to release a total of five AAA games in the current fiscal year 2020-2021. Almost all are known, except for one. Now the guesswork begins, which game the developer is still keeping under wraps.
There are only two pointers: It is a successor and not a new series. It also won't be Beyond Good & Evil 2, which was announced back in 2008.
The next games from Ubisoft
Will it be Far Cry 6?
One of the most likely candidates is likely a new Far Cry be. The short teaser video for Ubisoft's upcoming Ubisoft Next digital event, on which numerous news and announcements should await us next month, shows a landscape in fast motion:

The well-known video game analyst Benji Sales is convinced that these must be scenes for an upcoming Ubisoft title:
So uh …. this is a great point
I spent all my time just thinking about the date and wondering what will be at Ubisoft Forward
And actually, the clip in the video is clearly a teaser for a game. It's a huge modern day open world game showing a timelapse day and night cycle https://t.co/hRkTgjeXHq

But why could it be Far Cry 6? The short clip doesn't show much, but there are still some details that indicate a continuation of the Open World series: in the background an airplane lands at the end of the video, at night you see illuminated buildings and also – for Far Cry typical – tower can be seen.
Or even Prince of Persia?
Another option would be a new one Prince of Persia. This has made headlines several times in the recent past due to leaks and rumors, but not all of them have been confirmed.
So an alleged domain registration turned out to be a fake in retrospect. A confirmed Leaker from the Resetera forum, however, claims that information about the series is only "weeks away". A recent event in For Honor also suggests that Ubisoft is up to the show.
Recently, a video was also found on Youtube, which was leaked eight years ago. At the time, however, nobody noticed that. It shows one Reboot the series
What else could it be?
However, Ubisoft still owns other big brands, for example Far Cry – the last part of which appeared in early 2019 – or Splinter Cell, for which fans have been waiting for seven years.
However, the company could still choose to do so to revive older series. There is, for example, the World War I shooter Brothers in Arms or the GTA competitor Driver. The entire Might & Magic universe still exists.
Ubisoft's current fiscal year will end on March 31, 2021 – less than a year from now. Accordingly, we assume that the studio has the mysterious title announce in the near future becomes. A suitable time for this would be the digital replacement of the E3 planned for June.
