As Microsoft reports via Windows Message Center, support for Windows 10 is kept to a minimum due to the ongoing corona crisis. From May 2020
"We have assessed the public health situation and we know it will impact our customers. In response to these challenges, we are focusing primarily on security updates. As of May 2020, we will suspend all optional, non-security releases (C and D Updates). "
All Windows client and server products are affectedwho receive official support, from the current version Windows 10 1909 (autumn update) down to Windows Server 2008 SP2.

Security updates continue to come regularly
"There is no change to the monthly security updates (B version – update Tuesday); these will continue as planned to ensure business continuity and to keep our customers protected and productive."
How long will there be no optional updates? Microsoft has not yet commented on this. It can be assumed, however, that the Redmond company is based on the political framework and the development of the corona pandemic.
Summary:
- from May 2020 no more optional, non-security-relevant publications (C and D updates)
- initially only security updates, so-called B updates
- All operating systems supported by Microsoft are affected: Windows 10 1909 (autumn update) down to Windows Server 2008 SP2
