Paradox announced Victoria 3 at PDXCon Remixed – a brave decision. Because although parts of the paradox community Victoria 3 have longed for years, its setting and the complex domestic politics unfold far less mass appeal than the medieval chaos of Crusader Kings 3.
It is no coincidence that a fan favorite like Victoria 3 is being announced at this point in time – at least we suspect. Paradox has recently celebrated undreamt-of successes with Crusader Kings 3, but at the same time had to cope with some setbacks.

What setbacks that were and why Victoria 3 is great news anyway, Micha discusses in the GameStar podcast with Maurice and strategy Youtuber Stone wallswho are regularly on Twitch and Youtube at Ränkespiel in Crusader Kings 3 hammer each other’s crowns in.
Speaking of which: Of course we are also discussing Crusader Kings 3: Royal Court, from which Maurice spurly derives the next DLC, which Paradox has to develop for the medieval strategy game (because Maurice’s word is an order, as you probably know).
And we dare a – small – preview of the next steps for Hearts of Iron 4, Stellaris and Empire of Sin.
