Microsoft has given its Xbox consoles a new update of the operating system – and that brings with it a much desired feature for the Xbox Game Pass.
Thanks to a new update for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, which will be rolled out by Microsoft from today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to a long-desired feature. Certain games can be downloaded and installed in advance after installing the new Xbox OS.
The November update for the dashboard, which became available during the night, forms the basis for the feature, which is to be added soon. Not all of the games included in the Game Pass can be installed via preload. Incidentally, you can use the mobile app to start the download of the respective game on the console from the first minute of availability, even if you cannot operate the hardware directly yourself. Advantage: When you come home to gamble, the game is already downloaded; You will then no longer have longer waiting times.
Otherwise, the dashboard update brings further new functions on all three consoles. There is now an auto HDR tag that notifies you whether the feature is active and working. Games that are optimized for Xbox Series X and S will probably carry the corresponding badge in the future. New filter options also let you only display games in the library that have been specially optimized for the new consoles.
Last but not least, there are six new dynamic backgrounds; some of them pay homage to previous Xbox consoles.
