As before, XCOM: Chimera Squad is a turn-based tactical game. Five years after the events of XCOM 2, humans, aliens and hybrids are now working together to create a reasonable civilization of coexistence. However, not all people on earth agree with the situation. Underground groups are working to shake the fragile alliance.
This is opposed by the Chimera Squad, an elite unit made up of people, aliens and hybrids who are supposed to smash these groups. There are 11 agents with individual skills, attacks and character traits available to you. You have to use them in well-fitting squads to survive in tough missions. A breach mode offers a new combat phase in which the entry points of the squads become a tactical element.
Also included is a modified round system that takes the initiative and thus changes the order of the agents again and again. Outside of the missions, you'll be headquartered where you prioritize giving up, deploying agents, and completing tasks as the unrest in City 31 districts grows.
XCOM: Chimera Squad will be released on April 24th via Steam for the PC at a discounted entry price of 9.99 euros, from May 1 it will be available for the normal price of 19.99 euros.
