The Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, the remaster of Bioware’s Mass Effect trilogy, is about to be released. It starts on May 14, 2021, but the developers have already released a new tool that many fans are happy about.
From now on you can design your own artwork for the remaster and put a personal dream team on the cover of the game case.
The little tool called My Shepard Art Creator
First you choose your mindset: This determines the color scheme of the final artwork. If you choose the good side, you get a blue background. If you choose Renegade instead, you get a red one. Neutral players get both colors.
Characters: Then you choose the characters that should appear on your cover in several steps. The chosen order determines how prominently the heroes will be placed on the final graphic. If you choose Garrus and Liara as your favorite squadmates, they will appear clearly visible at the top of your artwork.
After you have selected a total of eight characters, you can have your own cover displayed in various formats. The 9:16 format is suitable for sharing in your Instagram story or as a background for your smartphone. Alternatively, you can also download your artwork as a 4k wallpaper for your desktop background.
Fans love it
Many Mass Effect fans are enthusiastic on social media: Countless users shared their creations on Twitter under the hashtag #MyShepard.
One user even took the trouble to plant her favorite character Garrus eight times on her personal cover – for the joy of being reunited with her “alien husband” soon:

In addition to the Cover Creator Tool, EA released other goodies for Mass Effect fans: You can still secure the additional content of the Deluxe Editions of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 until the end of May.
